If it weren’t for rescuers and rescue organizations, a lot of dogs would be left suffering in unimaginable conditions. Some rescues are recorded for everyone out there to see. This story is one of them, so continue reading if you want to feel a sense of hope.
Madison is a pit bull that’s been left in an orchard. It’s a big place, and it’s almost impossible for a lone dog to survive on his own in the vastness of the area. Bridget Booth from Fresno Bully Rescue was the guardian angel who made the rescue possible.
The first attempt, however, wasn’t a success. Bridget offered the dog food, but it wasn’t interested. The pit bull escaped from her. She wasn’t a fan of forcing a dog to come with her, so she had to think of another way to persuade the pit bull.
The next day, she went back with Matthew Decker, a fellow rescuer. While driving around, they confirmed how endless the orchard seemed. It made the rescue even more urgent than ever.
The rescuers finally saw Madison from a distance. The dog was just lying on the ground. They soon found why.
Bridget and Matthew brought another dog, hoping to make the rescue easier. It was easier than the last time. This was because Madison no longer had the energy to resist or stand. Matthew carried the pit bull and brought it to the veterinarian.
The diagnosis showed that Madison had ingested poison. After some medical treatment, Madison went straight to a foster home. Soon after, she was ready to get adopted for real.
A lovely grandmother named Christine Moss adopted Madison. She knew that Madison was a dog that needed someone to trust, and Christine was willing to be that person. It took a week for Madison to open up fully. But soon after, the relationship between the two became special.
